Feher Cseresznye Paprika

Feher Cseresznye Paprika seeds. This is a Hungarian heirloom paprika variety. The name literally translated means "white cherry pepper". This variety belongs to the C. Annuum stable of chilli plants. The plant grows to about 50 - 60cm in height and produces round, off white pods that are about 30 - 50mm in diameter. So smaller than a Cherry Bomb. A very unusual and attractive looking plant with its white pods and light green foliage. As is our experience with most of the Hungarian heirloom peppers, these too benefit from direct sunlight and as much as you can throw at them! They do take longer than normal to eventually change colour. Once fully ripe, the pods turn a bright red colour.

Flesh on the pods is thick and crunchy. The inner of the pod is very compact with lots of placenta and seeds. Flavour wise, these paprika have a clean fruity aroma with citrus undertones. A somewhat bitter taste, that rapidly delivers a strong burn that is peppery and firm. A long lasting burn that is weighted across the tongue and the roof of the mouth.
